Once upon a time the NEC TurboGrafx-16 video game system seemed poised to enter and dominate the North American console gaming market. Alas, it was not to be. Recognizing the link between comic book readers and video game players, Hudson Soft paid for a two-page spread advertising their game, Bonk’s Adventure, in a comic format, in popular titles, such as this one, found in Todd McFarlane’s Spider-Man (Issue #3, October 1990). This is so cool!
Too bad the TurboGrafx-16 was never sold here in Brazil. Few were able to play it here at that time.
It was always cool to see games advertisements in comic books and magazines!
