I've been gaming since the days of Pong and still own a working Atari 2600 (among other elder statesmen systems!). I tend to ramble on about retro games, whether they be board games, video games or PC games. Sometimes I digress. Decades after earning it, I'm finally putting the skills I learned while completing my history degree from the University of Victoria to good use. Or so I think. If you're into classic old school gaming, this blog is for you!

Once a go-getter sales professional that took no prisoners and existed only to make money, the author morphed with age into a slightly off-kilter online store owner who doesn’t take life too seriously. Time will do that to some people. Now he spends his time reconnecting retro gamers with their lost gaming memories, one package at a time.

  5. Your website is very valuable! I’ve used it to check inventory on several old games. I have Stock Ticker and it looks pretty complete, except there are varying numbers of stocks. For example I have 10 500 Oil, 11 500 gold, 14 500 Silver, etc… differing amounts of each monetary value. And different amounts for each commodity (10 500 Oil, 13 1000 Oil, 12 2000 Oil and 14 5000 Oil. Do you have access to a game inventory for Stock Ticker? It might be that they are supposed to not all have the same number of stocks… like real life companies, but I don’t know if the developers went that far. Would really like a list so I know if I have the complete game or not.
    Thank you so much!

  16. I like to send you two pics of a french variation of The Game Of The Goose with soldiers on the board and need an E-mail address so I can send you pics. I only have just the board, not any game pieces, and framed in a what looks like a hand-made wooden frame with a wood backing. I haven’t taken the back off because I don’t want to ruin it so I don’t know if the underside of the game has any text or company name etc. I wonder if it was made by CO-5 in the 60’s or if it’s older and I’d like to find that out.

The soldiers depicted are either dragoons or cuirassiers and there’s text in an oval in the center of the board and all in French. I’m just trying to find out how old this is and what company made it. Would appreciate any info you have.

  18. Hey,
I don’t know if you remember me, but I used to order from you quite a bit until I got scammed on that projector on eBay. I am moving to Vancouver, BC and these games aren’t selling for much online. Would you be interested in buying them or are they worthless? I can list them out if you are interested. They include Sim City 2000, SimAnt, 7th Guest, etc. Take care!
