• magisterrex Retro Games

I've been gaming since the days of Pong and still own a working Atari 2600. I tend to ramble on about retro games, whether they be board games, video games or PC games. Sometimes I digress. Decades after earning it, I'm finally putting the skills I learned while completing my history degree from the University of Victoria to good use. Or so I think. If you're into classic old school gaming, this blog is for you!

ReBlog: Al Lowe & Leisure Suit Larry Reunited!

From the fine folks at Revolver, Leisure Suit Larry is returning to his roots with a remake of the original Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards for tablets, netbooks, and mobile devices.  Now, normally this would be a time of mourning for the soon-to-be-violated memories by a team of accountants and programmers who never played the original, and want to add “improvements” to the gameplay.  Call it the Hollywood Effect.  However, this time Larry’s creator, Al Lowe, is working with the remake team (Replay Games), so the charm and immature humor that made Leisure Suit Larry such a cult classic is bound to remain – and perhaps be enhanced – due to his influence.  Exciting news for retrogamers everywhere!  (Original article here: Leisure Suit Larry Leaves Lockup.)
